Best Prewedding Shoot Locations in Rishikesh

Rishikesh gives you the Ganga, white-sand river beaches, hanging bridges, ghats and forested hills within a short drive of each other. These are the spots we use most for prewedding shoots, how to plan a day around them, and what our Rishikesh package (from ₹30,000) includes.

Our favourite Rishikesh prewedding locations

• Ganga river beaches – wide white-sand stretches upstream of the town (around Shivpuri and Brahmapuri) give clean, open frames and beautiful drone shots.
• Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula area – iconic suspension bridges, temples and the river below; best early in the morning before the crowds.
• Ghats – steps down to the water, brass bells and diyas for a traditional look; evening aarti adds warm light (photography rules vary at each ghat).
• Waterfalls and forest trails – short treks lead to small waterfalls and green, shaded frames; ideal for a relaxed, natural set.
• Riverside cafés and lanes – colourful walls, rooftop views and a laid-back vibe for candid, fun frames.
• Hill viewpoints – roads above the town give sunset views over the valley and the river.

A sample one-day route

1. Sunrise: river beach – soft light, empty sand, drone shots.
2. Morning: bridges and lanes before they get busy.
3. Midday: shaded waterfall or forest trail, plus an outfit change.
4. Golden hour: a hill viewpoint or the riverbank for the final look.

Practical tips

• Stay the night before so you are fresh for a sunrise start.
• Pack flowing outfits in colours that contrast with green and blue – reds, mustards, pastels and whites work well.
• Wear comfortable footwear between locations and change at each spot.
• Avoid peak monsoon (July–August), when the river is high and some beaches close.
